About Me

Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, I began my musical journey in middle school as a member of the boys' glee club before transitioning to the trumpet years later in the 9th-grade. I continued performing through high school on the French Horn and trumpet, earned a four-year music scholarship in college, and served as a musician in the Arkansas National Guard Band. After graduating, I spent over 30 years as a secondary band director. I am now in my ninth year as a general music educator and my 7th year at King Elementary School, having previously taught in Florida, California, Nevada, Texas, Tennessee, and Arkansas. I am delighted to now serve students and families in the District of Columbia.
